Dynasties & Sultanates

The Maratha Empire

The Peshwa Era

The British Raj

Modern Maharashtra
Following the fierce Samyukta Maharashtra Movement, the linguistic state was formed. Yashwantrao Chavan became the first CM. Today, under CM Devendra Fadnavis, it is India's economic engine.
